Meghan Markle has been hounded by the press since the moment she became a member of the Royal family by tying the knot with Prince Harry, and now she’s officially taking a stand with her husband by her side.
Harry has announced that they’re taking legal action against “Daily Mail's" “Mail on Sunday” for their “false” and “deliberately derogative” coverage of Meghan – particularly, the “unlawful publication of a private letter.”
On the Sussex Official website, Harry explains their plans in a powerful statement about the “human cost” of the media’s “relentless campaign,” boiling it down to something the couple won’t stand for: bullying. Harry says his “deepest fear is history repeating itself.”
“There is a human cost to this relentless propaganda, specifically when it is knowingly false and malicious, and though we have continued to put on a brave face I cannot begin to describe how painful it is,” Harry’s statement offers, in part. “I’ve seen what happens when someone I love is commoditized to the point that they are no longer treated or seen as a real person.”
