How would you like to take the time to sort and roll about $800 in change and then be told that you can't deposit those coins at your bank? That's what happened to a Canadian man who showed up at his bank with the coins and was told he couldn't deposit them.
Julien Perrotte says he was standing in front of a representative of the bank in total disbelief when she told him he could exchange the coins for bills at local grocery stores, corner stores, and pharmacies because "they love coins."
When he called the banks customer service number they told him there was nothing they could do because it was a new policy of the bank to not accept change.
He is now looking at doing business with another bank.
