We all know that you’re not supposed to take photos during a Broadway play, but one person broke that rule this weekend during a performance of “Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune” and what’s worse did it during the play’s nude sex scene.
The play opens with a full-frontal nude scene, and actress Audra McDonald, who stars in the play with Micheal Shannon, called out the perv in question following the performance. “To whoever it was in the audience that took a flash photo during our nude scene today: Not cool. Not cool at all,” she wrote.
According to a rep for the show, if someone is caught taking a photo a staff member at the theater will ask them to delete it, and they are “asked to show their ‘deleted’ folder and empty it so there is no record of it still on the phone. If they refuse to hand over their camera, they are asked to leave.” As for the latest incident, the rep simply said, “The ushers are also always on the lookout for cameras.”
