You may have seen military parades in Russia and North Korea and thought it was the mark of communism and dictatorship, but President Trump wants you to think “America.”
The President says America's military might will be on display during his Fourth of July event on the National Mall this week.
Speaking to reporters, Trump says there will also be flyovers by fighter jets and other planes, along with tanks stationed at various spots. Trump noted that the tanks have to be placed in strategic positions because the roads sometimes can't handle the weight.
Also on tap? The President is also planning to offer a 35-minute address at the "Salute to America" event at the Lincoln Memorial on Thursday. Critics have dismissed much of Trump’s plans as a glorified campaign rally.
