Italy To Host 2026 Winter Olympics

Italy will host the 2026 Winter Olympics. Sweden and Italy went head-to-head with the Olympic Committee in Switzerland in their bid to win the rights to play host. But in the end, the games will take place in Milan-Cortina.

To review, Sweden hosted the summer games in 1912, but has never staged the Winter Olympics. Italy has hosted the Winter Olympics twice, most recently in 2006.

The 2026 Winter Olympics will take place from February 6th to 22nd and the 2026 Winter Paralympics will be held from March 6th to 15th.
