Leave it to Ryan Reynolds to get political just ahead of the midterm elections. He put together a campaign style ad to mock Hugh Jackman ahead of the release of his latest movie, “The Front Runner.” The film, which opens in limited release tomorrow, features Jackman as former presidential candidate, Gary Hart, and has been getting Oscar buzz.
Mr. Blake Lively released the parody on social media Friday. It runs about 40 seconds and outlines the reasons why Jackman shouldn’t be considered for an award. “Hugh Jackman isn’t his real name,” the voiceover says. “It’s Hugh MICHAEL Jackman.” From there, the clip goes on to “attack” Hugh’s accent and other things about him.
Hugh responded to Ryan with his own video. He captioned it, “High road.” Let’s just say it didn’t go that way.
