#GoingViral: Weather Channel Speaks Out In Support Of Reporter

The internet is having fun with this video of a reporter who appears to be trying to stay upright against the wind in Wilmington, N.C. during Hurricane Florence.

The reporter's name is Mike Seidel and used dramatic movements to keep his balance during a live new report on the Weather Channel. The kicker was during this live report two men enter the frame and appear to just be strolling along without an issue.

“It’s important to note that the two individuals in the background are walking on concrete, and Mike Seidel is trying to maintain his footing on wet grass, after reporting on-air until 1:00 a.m. ET this morning and is undoubtedly exhausted,” the Weather Channel said in a statement.

Seeing this it reminds us when an NBC Today Show correspondent back in 2005 pretended to row a canoe in deep water during a storm, but it is only 6 inches deep.
