The New York Knicks' impressive playoff winning streak came to an end on Monday as they fell to the San Antonio Spurs 115-111 in Game Three of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden. The loss marked the Knicks' first defeat in 46 days, but they still lead the best-of-seven series 2-1.

Victor Wembanyama led the Spurs with a standout performance, scoring 32 points, grabbing eight rebounds, and dishing out six assists. His efforts helped the Spurs avoid a daunting 3-0 series deficit. Wembanyama attributed the win to improved team control and fewer mistakes, as he shared in a postgame interview with ESPN. "Less mistakes, more control," he said.

The Spurs' backcourt also contributed significantly, with Stephon Castle scoring 23 points and Dylan Harper adding 13 points off the bench. Despite a challenging shooting night, De'Aaron Fox managed to contribute with eight assists and key defensive plays.

For the Knicks, Jalen Brunson led the charge with 32 points, while OG Anunoby added 28 points. However, their efforts weren't enough to secure a victory. The Knicks' loss snapped a 13-game postseason win streak, the second longest in NBA history behind the 2017 Golden State Warriors.

The game saw a star-studded audience, including President Donald Trump, who attended amidst heightened security measures at Madison Square Garden. Game Four is set to take place on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. ET, with the Knicks aiming to extend their series lead.
