New York City is buzzing with excitement as it hosts several free watch parties for Game 3 of the NBA Finals featuring the New York Knicks. On Monday, fans can gather at popular locations like Bryant Park, Wollman Rink in Central Park, and Brooklyn Bowl to cheer on the Knicks. However, there will be no watch party outside Madison Square Garden due to increased security measures, as President Donald Trump is expected to attend the game.
The watch party at Bryant Park will accommodate up to 5,000 fans, offering a lively atmosphere for Knicks supporters. All watch parties across the city are free, but fans must register to attend. According to the NBA's official website, registration is required for entry at all venues.
The decision to deny permits for a watch party outside Madison Square Garden comes as the NYPD and Secret Service have ramped up security around the arena. This precautionary measure ensures the safety of attendees and the smooth operation of the event. Despite this, fans can still enjoy the game inside the arena on Gardenvision, where tickets are priced at $10, with proceeds going to the Garden of Dreams Foundation, as noted on the Madison Square Garden website.
For those unable to attend the watch parties in New York City, there is also an option to join a watch party at 902 Brewing in Jersey City, as highlighted by Eventbrite. The Knicks are just two wins away from securing their first NBA Championship, making these gatherings a thrilling experience for fans across the region.
