The New York Giants have made significant moves to bolster their receiving corps by signing wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr., JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Braxton Berrios. The team announced Beckham's return on Monday, marking his second stint with the Giants after being drafted by them in 2014 and playing five seasons before his trade to the Cleveland Browns in 2019.

Beckham, now 33, returns to the Giants following a workout in April. His signing comes in the wake of injuries to key players like Gunner Olszewski, who tore his Achilles tendon, and Malik Nabers, who is recovering from a torn ACL. Beckham, who missed last season due to a suspension for a performance-enhancing drug violation, is expected to fill the gap left by these injuries. During his career, Beckham has accumulated 7,987 receiving yards and is known for his ability to make contested catches and gain yards after the catch.

The Giants also signed Smith-Schuster, a 29-year-old receiver who played for the Kansas City Chiefs last season, recording 33 catches for 345 yards and a touchdown. Smith-Schuster is anticipated to fill the role of wide receiver Darius Slayton, who is currently sidelined with a sports hernia.

Berrios, 30, joins the Giants as a return specialist, a role vacated by Olszewski's injury. Berrios brings experience as a returner, having a career kickoff return average of 24.9 yards.

The Giants' general manager, Joe Schoen, and new head coach, John Harbaugh, have been actively strengthening the team's roster since the opening of free agency. The addition of these veteran receivers aims to provide second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart with experienced targets and improve the team's offensive depth.
