Multiple videos have emerged online of security footage show groups opening up, and climbing into the sewers in Brooklyn over the weekend. At the moment, there is very little information out there with no motive or identities publicly known. Curtis Sliwa and Larry Mendte in the Morning spoke about the bizarre videos and what the possible reasoning could be.
“It’s a bit of an embarrassment that people can go down into the sewers of New York City, and then emerge hours later and we haven’t heard a word of who they are and why they may have done this,” Sliwa told co-host Mendte. “Probably they’re filming something down there for a reality show or something, or just to put it on YouTube.”
Mendte has a feeling the public does not have all the info in this case: “I’ve got a feeling that the NYPD knows who it is at this point because there’s too much information out there… my guess is they’re looking for them right now, they’re just not telling us.”
