Hundreds of underprivileged children in New York City will have the chance to watch the New York Knicks compete in the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks are donating at least 500 tickets to these young fans through the Garden of Dreams Foundation, which supports children facing illness, homelessness, and poverty.

The foundation will receive 250 tickets for each home game, Games 3 and 4, scheduled for June 8 and June 10. If the series extends to Game 6 on June 16, the total donation will increase to 750 tickets. This initiative ensures that underserved youth can experience this historic moment, as the Knicks make their first Finals appearance since 1999 and aim for their first championship since 1973.

Ticket prices for the Finals have soared, with courtside seats reaching as high as $595,000, making it difficult for many New Yorkers to attend. By providing free tickets, the Knicks are creating "meaningful, once-in-a-lifetime experiences," said Rich Constable, MSG Entertainment's executive vice president.

The Knicks have been on an impressive run, winning 11 consecutive playoff games and dominating their opponents with a record-breaking point differential. They await the winner of the Western Conference Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
