The New York Knicks could soon learn their opponent for the NBA Finals, as the San Antonio Spurs host the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas, tonight. The Thunder lead the best-of-seven series 3-2 after a 127-114 victory on Tuesday. The game is set to tip off at 8:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on NBC and streamed on Peacock.
The Knicks have already secured their spot in the NBA Finals after sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals. They are on an 11-game winning streak and will have nine days off before the Finals begin on Wednesday, June 3. The Knicks are eagerly waiting to see if they will face the reigning champions, the Thunder, or the Spurs, who are seeking their first Finals appearance since 1999.
The Thunder, led by last year's MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, aim to close out the series and return to the Finals for the second consecutive year. Meanwhile, the Spurs, with standout performances from rookie Victor Wembanyama, will look to force a decisive Game 7 on Saturday in Oklahoma City.
The winner of the Western Conference Finals will have home-court advantage in the NBA Finals based on regular-season records, with the Thunder having 64 wins and the Spurs 62, compared to the Knicks' 53 wins. The NBA Finals will follow a 2-2-1-1-1 format, with all games starting at 7:30 p.m. CT and airing on ABC.
