The growth of Artificial Intelligence is drastically changing much about the current world landscape and job market, both creating and destroying millions of jobs. While some high level executives are trying to tread lightly with integrating this new technology, CEO of Big Machine Records, Scott Borchetta, decided to go the opposite way and tell students to “deal with it” when talking about the increased use of AI. Curtis Sliwa and Larry Mendte in the Morning talked about those comments and the integration of AI into society and careers.
“I’m not defending him, [but] he could have phrased that better than he did,” Mendte told co host Sliwa. “But what he’s saying is this is going to happen; you can boo all you want, it’s happening.”
Sliwa explained to Mendte why the younger generations are so reluctant to embrace the tech: “At first Gen Z were more in favor of AI than any other group; they’re now the most opposed because as they are going through college… and they’re going out to search for jobs because they’ve been trained for certain jobs; they’re being told as of now, we’re not hiring because AI is doing their jobs.”
