Google is hosting their annual I/O event in California currently to announce a number of new products and features for their products. Among their advancements, they have made big strides in the AI space as multiple top tech companies are also pushing the envelope in that world. Rich DeMuro, host of ‘Rich on Tech’ on WOR Sundays, spoke with Curtis Sliwa and Larry Mendte in the Morning about the Google event and what new features they have available for use.
“For the first time in 25 years they are changing that classic search box to make it an intelligent search box where you can ask questions just like you would to AI,” DeMuro told hosts Sliwa and Mendte. “Spark, they announced this new autonomous personal AI assistant that runs 24/7 in the background.”
DeMuro believes Google is closing the gap on the top dogs of the AI world: “OpenAI and ChatGPT has taken a very early lead but don’t count Google out yet because they have a lot of money and they have a lot of users, we’re talking billions of users of their products.”
