Saturday Morning With Larry Mendte: 9/11 Hero’s New Chapter Helping Others

John Feal became an American hero with his heroic efforts on September 11, 2001, assisting with the recovery and cleanup after the terrorist attack. After an 8,000-pound beam crushed his left foot, Feal was faced with not just a partial amputation but potential financial ruin as he went broke paying his medical bills, all while watching fellow responders suffer and die from cancer and other ailments caused by the toxic air they thought was safe to breathe. This led to his multi-year fight to get the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund and healthcare bill passed.

Now he’s using his story to help other activists get legislation passed to help their cause, and he shares that wisdom in his new book, “I Will Follow You Anywhere.” Join Larry Mendte as he talks with Feal about his story and book tomorrow morning on the WOR Saturday Morning Show from 6-7am. The interview will undoubtedly be a powerful start to your weekend.
