President Donald Trump stated he does not want to be rushed into making decisions about the ongoing conflict with Iran. During a discussion in the Oval Office, he addressed questions about how long he would wait for Iran to respond to ceasefire proposals, urging patience. Trump noted that the Iran war has not been as prolonged as other U.S. conflicts, suggesting that Americans are willing to endure higher gas prices temporarily if it means preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Trump emphasized that the current situation allows the U.S. to maintain control over the Strait of Hormuz, a critical oil passageway, despite ongoing tensions. He mentioned that Iran's internal divisions are hindering their ability to produce a unified response to ceasefire talks. Trump claimed that the U.S. military has already targeted 75% of its objectives in Iran and can quickly address any Iranian military build-up during the ceasefire.

According to The Times of Israel, Trump stated, "Don’t rush me," when asked about the timeline for a peace deal. He also compared the current conflict's impact on the stock market and oil prices to initial expectations, noting that the economy has remained relatively stable.

Gas prices have surged more than 30% since the war began, as reported by CNBC. Despite the economic strain, Trump believes the long-term benefits of a nuclear-free Iran justify the temporary hardships. He remains firm on not rushing the decision-making process, stating that the U.S. has "plenty of time."

In a CNN report, Trump reiterated threats to target Iran's infrastructure if necessary, though he expressed hope for a diplomatic resolution. As the situation develops, the President's approach continues to draw both support and criticism, with many Americans adjusting their spending habits in response to rising gas prices.
