The New York Mets lost their 11th consecutive game on Sunday when the Chicago Cubs won in the 10th inning by a score of 2-1. The streak has put the Mets in a tie for the worst record in Major League Baseball at this point in the season and despite the call for major change from fans, the team doesn’t seem to be ready to make a significant move. Warner Wolf, legendary sportscaster, spoke with Curtis Sliwa and Larry Mendte in the Morning about the Mets and the message from the leadership.

“David Stearns, who is the baseball operations president, he said of Carlos Mendoza… I think Mendoza is doing a really good, we’re just not hitting,” Wolf told hosts Sliwa and Mendte. “No, you’re just not hitting, you’re just not fielding, and your bullpen stinks.”

Wolf was able to find some relief for the Mets during their recent struggles: “The Mets are guaranteed they won’t lost their 12th straight today; they’re off.”
