It has been 100 days since Zohran Mamdani officially took over as the Mayor of New York City, and he is holding a celebratory event in Queens to mark the occasion. Despite him celebrating the feat, his reviews have been mixed so far with a number of complaints about his early performance. Curtis Sliwa and Larry Mendte in the Morning spoke about the Mayor and why he is holding a party to celebrate himself.

“It’s the one thing he does well… he puts on a show, he puts on a performance; entertainment is his career and this can deflect from everything else because you know the media will be in tow,” Mendte said to co-host Sliwa. “This is brilliant on his part, but it covers up 100 days of failure.”

Sliwa says that Mamdani has more basic work to do if he wants to celebrate: “If you wanted to take a victory tour through all five boroughs, continue to fill up all the potholes, they are everywhere.”
