Amid the ongoing partial government shut down, TSA workers have not seen a paycheck in weeks, causing many of them to call out of work. This has resulted in many instances of long lines at airports around the country, and Donald Trump has sent ICE officers to assist with any issues being brought up with these extended wait times and large crowds. Natalie Migliore, WOR Reporter, went out on the streets of New York City to talk with travelers about their thoughts on having the addition federal officers on site at airports.

“Ideally you want people doing the job they’re meant to be doing, not covering for somebody else,” one person told Migliore. “I don’t think it’s a good idea; I think it’s going to be more chaotic than anything,” another person told Migliore.

One traveler told Migliore he is disrupting the rest of his day to make his flight on time: “Today I leave at 2:59PM, I’m going to get there at 11 I think and just give myself a lot of time… I’m going to miss some meetings this afternoon to do that; it should be a not so fun day.”
