Iran Strikes Bring Mixed Reactions In US, But What About In Israel?

When most people woke up to the news that the United States military launched drone strikes on Iran early Saturday morning, it immediately caused Americans from both sides to jump to either strong support or strong disagreement. The US military being involved is the reason for such strong opinions from Americans on the matter, but the lives of those living in the Middle East are much more affected by the strikes. Jordana Miller, ABC News correspondent in Jerusalem, spoke with Mendte in the Morning about the feeling among the people of Israel about the war against Iran.

“I think almost all Israelis are for the war,” Miller told host Larry Mendte. “And even though the person leading it, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is reviled by some… still most people absolutely support the war.”

Miller did state that the support is not 100% however: “Israelis, they’ve become kind of masters of war in the modern era, but the day after planning, as we see in Gaza for example, is not an Israeli strength. So, I think there’s concerns about how long this will go on, the exit, and what comes after.”
