Donald Trump’s second term in office officially began a year ago today, although with all of the news constantly surrounding the President it may seem like it has been longer. Recapping the entirety of Trump’s first year would be a tough task but he was able to make good on a few of his main campaign promises. Jon Decker, WOR White House correspondent, talked to Mendte in the Morning about the first full year of Trump’s second term and his biggest accomplishments.

“I think the biggest highlight is passage of the Big Beautiful Bill; it happened in the first six months,” Decker told host Larry Mendte. “The President can certainly take credit for the numbers we’ve seen, the declining numbers in terms of individuals trying to get into the country illegally at our southern border.”

Decker also highlighted the unpredictable nature of having Trump in charge: “I would not have imagined one year ago that we’d be talking about Greenland as a possible acquisition by the United States.”
