If you are a Verizon Wireless customer there is a decent chance you had issues with your phone losing service around noon eastern time yesterday. Rich DeMuro, host of ‘Rich on Tech’ on WOR Sundays, spoke about the outage and how it may have happened with Mendte in the Morning.
“Verizon says not a cyber-attack, no sort of cyber security issue here,” DeMuro told host Larry Mendte. “Typically these things happen when the company pushes through some sort of software upgrade on the back end, on their services; it propagates, it messes things up then they have to reverse it.”
DeMuro offered some advice to those still be affected by the outage: “If you’re still having any issues this morning, you can restart your device.”
