New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced the opening of 3-K and Pre-K enrollment on Wednesday during a visit to a child care center in Queens. Accompanied by Schools Chancellor Kamar Samuels, Mamdani emphasized the significant benefits of early childhood education, describing them as "vast and far-reaching." He highlighted that enrolling children in these programs can be crucial for parents aiming to return to the workforce.

The city has initiated a comprehensive outreach campaign to inform the public about the enrollment process. This campaign includes materials in 13 languages, a promotional video, and advertisements on TaxiTV. Parents can enroll their children online at my-schools-dot-nyc, with the application deadline set for February 27.

The initiative reflects the city's commitment to making early education accessible to all families, ensuring that children receive the foundational skills necessary for future academic success.
