Can Donald Trump Actually End Congestion Pricing?

A little more than a year after congestion pricing began in New York City, Donald Trump has recently announced his plans to fight for an end the controversial policy. According to the NY Governor Kathy Hochul the plan has been a massive success with increased revenue, while also lowering traffic and pollution in Manhattan. Natalie Migliore, WOR Reporter, hit the streets to talk to the people of New York City about the plan and if they think Trump can actually end it.

“I think certain things need to happen to help out the city, but I also don’t think that he has the power to do that; if he did he would’ve done that a long time ago,” one person told Migliore. “It’s a money maker; it made millions of dollars so no we ain’t stopping this,” another person told Migliore.

One citizen told Migliore he hasn’t seen any of the changes they promised with the new money coming in: “Nothing has changed; now we just don’t have turnstiles… now we have OMNY whatever that is; where did that come from?”
