CURTIS SLIWA RETURNS TO RADIO AFTER MAYORAL CAMPAIGN

CURTIS SLIWA RETURNS TO RADIO ON IHEARTMEDIA NEW YORK’S 710 WOR AFTER MAYORAL CAMPAIGN

iHeartMedia New York’s 710 WOR today announced Curtis Sliwa, founder of the Guardian Angels and longtime New York radio personality, will serve as guest host for Mark Simone from Dec. 22 through Jan. 2 -- his first time on-air following his recent mayoral campaign.

Sliwa, known for his sharp commentary, streetwise perspective and decades of experience in New York talk radio, will guide listeners through the holiday season with his signature mix of opinion, insight and candid conversation on issues shaping the city.

“I’m honored to fill in for Mark Simone,” Sliwa said. “I have worked with him; I have competed against him. He has more connections to those in the know than anyone in New York City.”

“Curtis is a true New York original,” Tom Cuddy, program director for iHeartMedia New York’s 710 WOR. “His energy, knowledge of the city and ability to connect with listeners make him one of the most compelling voices in talk radio. We’re excited to have him on WOR for the holidays.”

“I have been in talk radio for 36 years, but ironically it all began when I was a guest on the Arlene Francis show on WOR in 1971,” he said. “I’ve been talking on the radio ever since, and it doesn’t get any better than to do it back on WOR, where it all started for me.”

Listeners can tune in to 710 WOR or stream Sliwa’s shows live on the iHeartRadio app. For more information, visit 710wor.com.
