New York City's iconic New Year's Eve Wishing Wall is now open in Times Square, inviting people from around the world to share their hopes and dreams for the coming year. The wall, located at the Crossroads of the World, was erected on Monday and will remain open until December 29. Individuals can submit their wishes in person or online using the hashtag #ConfettiWish on social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram.
According to the Times Square Alliance, the wishes collected will be printed and added to over a ton of confetti that will be released at midnight on New Year's Eve, creating a magical moment for the thousands of revelers gathered in Times Square. The Wishing Wall is presented by Planet Fitness and will be closed on December 25.
For those unable to visit in person, the Average Socialite notes that wishes submitted digitally after December 28 will be saved for the following year's celebration. This annual tradition allows people to be part of the festive spirit, whether they are in New York City or participating virtually from afar.
