You may know TJ Miller from his acting roles in Silicon Valley and Deadpool, but he got his start in showbiz as a standup comic. Miller is flexing those muscles again as he brings his ‘The Crowd Sorcerer Tour’ to Levity Live in West Nyack, NY. The actor and comedian joined Mendte in the Morning to talk about his tour and life as a comic living in New York City.
“The greatest fun in New York City as a stand-up comic is you start with an idea… and you write the joke, get on stage, you do the joke, you get the reaction,” Miller told host Larry Mendte. “You go to the next club, you try the joke again, you’ve change a little bit, you’re tinkering with it… by the time you’re on your 4th show, your 4th or 5th set of the night you know either this is a great idea, I got to keep working on it, or forget it.”
Miller explained the uniqueness of shows and why it is worth coming out to see him: “One of my favorite things is reminding people come see me live, which you can do Thursday and Friday at Levity Live… and every show is different; I have people come to more than one show because they know its going to be different.”
