Sean "Diddy" Combs has entered a drug rehabilitation program at the Fort Dix prison complex in New Jersey. This move could potentially reduce his prison sentence by up to one year, according to his spokesman, Juda Engelmayer. Combs, the founder of Bad Boy Entertainment, is serving a 50-month sentence for transporting people for prostitution. He began his sentence on October 30 and is expected to be released in May 2028, though completing the rehab program could mean an earlier release.

The rehabilitation program, known as the Residential Drug Abuse Program, involves intensive therapy and is highly sought after by inmates because it can significantly reduce prison time. Engelmayer stated that Combs is "committed to sobriety, healing, and trying to set an example for others." Combs works in the chapel library at Fort Dix and has restarted his entrepreneurial class, "Free Game with Diddy," to help fellow inmates.

During his trial, Combs faced allegations of drug abuse and violence, including testimony from ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura about coercive and abusive behavior. Despite being acquitted of the most serious charges, Combs was convicted of violating the Mann Act. He is appealing his conviction and sentence, arguing that he was unfairly prosecuted.

Combs celebrated his fifty-sixth birthday at Fort Dix, where he is acclimating to life in the low-security facility. The prison offers various amenities, including exercise equipment and educational programs. Combs's involvement in the rehab program and his continued efforts to educate fellow inmates reflect his focus on personal growth and rehabilitation.
