New York City is honoring veterans with its annual Veterans Day Parade and ceremonies on Tuesday. The parade, marking the 250th anniversary of the Revolutionary War and the founding of the U.S. Army, Navy, and Marines, will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Fifth Avenue, starting from 25th Street. More than 20,000 service members are expected to participate, showcasing marching bands, military units, and veterans' organizations.

The parade's Grand Marshals include Medal of Honor recipient Clinton Romesha, Marine veteran Stephen Peck, and retired U.S. Navy Captain Sunita "Suni" Williams, each representing one of the three senior service branches. The parade will be broadcast on Channel 7 and streamed online, with hosts Joe Torres and Stephanie Ramos.

Earlier in the day, a wreath-laying ceremony will take place at Madison Square Park at 11 a.m., honoring the sacrifices of veterans at the Eternal Light Flagstaff. Later, at 3:30 p.m., a ceremony will be held at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.

The parade route will affect traffic, with closures on Fifth Avenue from 25th to 47th Street and Broadway from 25th to 29th Street for parade staging. For more information, visit the United War Veterans Council website.
