New York City's Veterans Day Parade on Tuesday will honor 250 years of U.S. military service. The parade, hosted by the United War Veterans Council, is the largest Veterans Day event in the nation and will march up Fifth Avenue from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

This year's parade will commemorate the founding of the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, and Navy. Grand Marshals for the event include former Army Staff Sgt. Clinton Romesha, Marine veteran Stephen Peck, and retired Navy Capt. Sunita "Suni" Williams. Romesha, a Medal of Honor recipient, was recognized for his heroism in Afghanistan. Peck, the son of actor Gregory Peck, is a notable advocate for homeless veterans. Williams, a NASA astronaut, has an extensive military and space career.

Approximately 20,000 participants, including military units, veterans' organizations, and marching bands, will join the parade. Spectators can view the event along Fifth Avenue from 25th to 45th streets or watch it live on WABC.

The parade not only celebrates military history but also highlights ongoing support for veterans. According to the United War Veterans Council, the event showcases the dedication and accomplishments of service members who continue to serve their country and fellow veterans.
