Early voting in New York State starts tomorrow, allowing residents to cast their ballots ahead of the November 4 Election Day. Polling places will be open daily until early voting concludes on November 2. Voters can visit their assigned early voting centers, with specific sites designated for New York City residents.
To assist voters, the New York State Attorney General's office has set up an Election Protection Hotline available from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM during the early voting period and from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Election Day. This hotline will help resolve issues related to absentee ballots, early mail ballots, and in-person voting.
Additionally, Common Cause New York and the Let NY Vote coalition are urging voters to take advantage of early voting. They have launched a nonpartisan Election Protection Program to ensure voter safety and address any issues at polling sites.
Voters have three options to cast their ballots: early voting in person, voting by mail, or voting on Election Day. To vote by mail, ballots must be requested by October 25 and mailed back by November 4. The Election Protection Program aims to ensure that every eligible New Yorker can participate in the election process without intimidation or coercion.
