Healthcare around the world has advanced at an incredibly fast rate in recent memory and the next great breakthrough may be in the form of brain implants. The implant chips are being idealistically used to help people regain functions in their bodies for those suffering from being paralyzed or those who are suffering from Alzheimer’s and dementia. Kevin Cirilli, Futurist and host of the ‘Hello Future’ podcast on the iHeartRadio app, spoke with Mendte in the Morning about the technological advancement and people’s hesitations.

“No one blinks when you say I’ve got to have my knee replaced or my hip replaced,” Cirilli told host Larry Mendte. “Why don’t we have that same preventative care on our brains… which is the engine for our entire lives.”

Cirilli explained the tech behind the implants in a simple way: “If your brain is a bunch of wires… and maybe one of them short circuited; the brain chip essentially is just a fix, it’s an ability to jumpstart the wires again.”
