The incident occurred around 10:20 p.m. at 1015 East Gun Hill Road in the Williamsbridge neighborhood. According to amNewYork, the sergeant from the 49th Precinct was injured when a suspect, identified as 18-year-old Antonio Morales, fired shots from inside an apartment. Morales has a significant criminal history, with previous arrests for firearm possession and domestic assault. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and a person of interest is in custody.
