An investigation is underway after two Delta Air Lines regional jets collided at low speed while taxiing at New York's LaGuardia Airport on Wednesday night. The collision involved an outbound flight to Roanoke, Virginia, and an inbound flight from Charlotte, North Carolina, both operated by Delta's subsidiary, Endeavor Air. The incident occurred at 9:58 p.m. local time, according to the Port Authority of New York.

One flight attendant sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital as a precautionary measure, as reported by USA TODAY. No passengers were injured in the collision, which involved the right wing of the departing jet clipping the fuselage of the arriving jet. The impact damaged the windshield of one plane, as noted by ABC7NY.

Passengers from both flights, totaling 85 individuals, were safely deplaned on the taxiway and transported back to the terminal by bus. Delta Air Lines has apologized for the incident and is working with relevant authorities, including the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board, to investigate the cause of the collision.

Despite the collision, there was no impact on the overall operations at LaGuardia Airport, and no delays were reported on Thursday, according to CNN. The investigation continues as Delta reviews the incident to ensure the safety of its customers and crew.
