New York City Mayor Eric Adams has intensified his criticism of the media, accusing reporters of attempting to sabotage his re-election campaign. During a question-and-answer session on Thursday, Adams claimed that the media's agenda is "to undermine my campaign," referencing stories about his trips to Saudi Arabia, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and a Yankees game with President Trump, despite his repeated denials.

Adams, who is currently polling a distant fourth in the mayoral race, expressed frustration over not being given the opportunity to run for office like other candidates. He trails behind Democratic frontrunner Zohran Mamdani, former Governor Andrew Cuomo, who is running as an independent, and Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa.

According to the New York Post, President Trump has predicted that Mamdani will win the election, describing him as "my little communist." Trump also noted that Cuomo, running as an independent, appears strongest against Mamdani but still faces challenges due to past controversies.

The media's focus on Adams' alleged trips and potential job offers in the Trump administration has added pressure to his campaign. Despite this, Adams remains determined to continue his bid for re-election, stating, "I’m in it to win it, but trust me, it has been a real challenge."
