Central Perk, the iconic coffee shop from the beloved sitcom "Friends," is set to open a permanent location in New York City's Times Square. According to Variety, the coffeehouse will launch in late fall 2025, offering fans a chance to experience a modern-day version of Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe's favorite hangout spot.

The new Central Perk will feature artisanal coffee drinks and "Friends"-inspired food items, guided by "Top Chef" judge and James Beard Award winner Tom Colicchio. Visitors can also enjoy a replica of the iconic orange sofa and purchase merchandise and take-home coffee blends. The Times Square location follows the success of the first permanent Central Perk, which opened in Boston in 2023.

Paul Landino, a company executive at CenPer Holdings, expressed excitement about the expansion, stating, "Boston showed us the appetite for Central Perk is real, and New York lets us build on that excitement at an even bigger scale." The coffeehouse aims to deliver a memorable experience for both locals and visitors, allowing them to create their own "Friends" moments in the city where the series was set.

The new café will be located on the northeast corner of 7th Avenue and 47th Street, offering a nostalgic yet freshly reimagined experience for fans from around the world. As ABC7NY reports, the layout will include an orange sofa room inspired by the show's famous couch, ensuring that the spirit of Central Perk lives on.
