wenty-four years ago today an unimaginable tragedy struck the United States. Four planes were hijacked by terrorists, and two of them flew into the Twin Towers in New York City. The death toll from that day continues to pile up as those who were in the area of the towers as well as those who rushed in to help immediately after deal with the long-term health issues from being at Ground Zero. John Feal, founder of the Feal Good Foundation, spoke with Mendte in the Morning about the remembrance of this day and the lasting effects of the tragedy.

“Today feels eerie… today is a day of reflection, today’s a day to remember those that we lost to senseless violence,” Feal told host Larry Mendte. “It's also a day to remember that tens of thousands of people didn’t die that day, but they got sick.”

Feal is not stopping his work to support those effected despite the Government pushing back: “Congress fails to do the right thing and I can guarantee the 9/11 community… that we get a bill passed by the end of the year to ensure the World Trade Center health program continues its mission.”
