The New York Giants finished the 2024-25 season with a disappointing 3-14 record and a lot of questions at multiple positions after they released longtime starting Quarterback Daniel Jones midway through the season. The team surprisingly kept Head Coach Brian Daboll, and General Manager Joe Schoen who had a busy offseason in an effort to improve the roster. Gary Myers, author and former NFL columnist for the NY Daily News, spoke with Mendte in the Morning about what the new season might have in store for Big Blue.
“I think the Giants are going to be better this year, they’ll get better play at quarterback from Russell Wilson,” Myers told host Larry Mendte. “But they have improved the team around the Quarterback, now they just need the Quarterback to step up and give them component play which they haven’t gotten the last few years.”
Myers thinks the season will be a step in the right direction but not much more: “I wouldn’t necessarily pick them to make the playoffs this year, but I think it’s going to be a season that at least around Thanksgiving there will still be some interest.”
