Amazon Prime Day started 10 years ago as a 24-hour mega sale similar to ‘Black Friday’ and has now expanded to a 4-day event. Some shoppers have been skeptical in the past about how good the deals truly are. Rich DeMuro, host of ‘Rich on Tech’ on WOR Sundays 8-11pm, spoke with Mendte in the Morning about the big sale and what to do to make sure you’re getting a good deal while shopping.
“Start your shopping now; so put everything into your cart or your save for later list that you want to buy and then wait for price drops,” DeMuro told host Larry Mendte. “Even during the time leading up until Prime Day, a lot of these prices do drop.”
DeMuro shared his favorite site to get a complete price check history of any Amazon item, Camelcamelcamel.com: “I pretty much don’t buy anything on Amazon on sale without checking that…pop the Amazon URL into that website and it’ll tell you yes, this is the lowest price ever on this product or nah, this product actually went down to a lower price six months ago.”
