As Donald Trump’s tariffs begin to take effect on countries around the world, the price of a new car in the United States will soon start to increase. That knowledge leads to the question of if you should be looking to purchase a new car now before the price hikes happen or if it is worth it to ride it out with your current vehicle. Ron Ananian, host of the ‘The Car Doctor’ on the iHeartRadio app spoke with Mendte in the Morning about what you should do in this situation and emphasized the importance of taking good care of your current vehicle.

"The care we provide when we’re younger, when the car is newer, reflects how well the car lasts as it gets older,” Ananian tells host Larry Mendte. “You can drive a car a quarter of a million miles with proper care and maintenance.”

Ananian explained that being proactive with your car care is most important: “If there’s a warning light on, it’s trying to tell you something… the earlier you get it diagnosed, the better to know, you’re not caught off guard, you’re not slowly driving that car into the ground.”
