Some of the toughest opposition Donald Trump has faced early on in his second term in the Oval Office has come from a number of District Court judges around the country blocking his executive orders. The President has continued to push forward with his plans despite the challenges, but Congress has begun work to make it easier after the House passed the ‘No Rogue Rulings Act’ to lessen the influence of those judges. Sean Spicer, Trump’s first press secretary, spoke with Mendte in the Morning about the bill and the power those judges held.
“There’s a court in California, a court in Rhode Island that are changing the course of federal law that effects the country, the world you can argue,” Spicer told guest host Ken Rosato. “I don’t get it, it didn’t make sense.”
Spicer is happy with the progress that has been made so far: “I’m glad at least the House is taking action because on its face it doesn’t make sense; a District Court should decide for that jurisdiction.”
