Donald Trump has pushed back his deadline for Kathy Hochul and the State of New York to take down the congestion pricing cameras. Hochul has remained adamant that she will go to court before taking the cameras down, and now with the deadline being pushed back, it allows for more negotiations before the courts get involved. Robert Holden, New York City Council member, spoke with Mendte in the Morning about Trump’s plan during these negotiations and what he is trying to accomplish.
“This is the way President Trump operates; he negotiates,” Holden told host Larry Mendte. “He likes them to squirm a bit, you know, Hochul certainly.”
Holden says he is supporting Donald Trump as long as he is looking out for New Yorkers: “If he can get our energy costs lower, if he could eliminate congestion pricing by any means necessary, do it.”
