Artificial intelligence is the latest technological advancement that is growing into our culture and starting to change the way we complete tasks in our daily life. There are many uses for this technology, and some debate the ethics of using AI for a variety of purposes but what about using it to create and tune a resume for a job search? Greg Giangrande, career advice expert at GoToGreg.com, spoke with Mendte in the Morning about the use of AI in resume building.
“I think it’s a great use because people struggle with putting together resumes,” Giangrande told host Larry Mendte. “What you want from a resume is for it to be really simple and straightforward, not creative.”
Giangrande thinks AI can save valuable time in a process where not much is given to you: “Where did they work, how long did they work there, what titles did they have and then their mind fills in the blanks; less than 10 seconds is the average amount of time a recruiter will spend looking at your resume.”
