Karoline Leavitt hosted the first White House press briefing of the second Trump administration on Tuesday and impressed some fellow Republican’s. The briefing turned into a contentious environment a few times but the youngest ever White House press secretary was able to make her way through it. Joe Concha, Fox News contributor, spoke with Mendte in the Morning about the new press secretary and how she fared compared to the secretaries of the Biden administration.
“During the Biden years those press secretaries, Psaki and Karine Jean-Pierre, were treated like kittens,” Concha told host Larry Mendte. “Now Karoline Leavitt comes in and despite a hostile press, yea slam dunk all the way; great choice.”
Concha called out the hypocrisy from some legacy media members that attended the briefing: “Peter Alexander from NBC or Mary Bruce from ABC, oh boy they suddenly learned how to interrupt press secretaries again and raise their voices with passion when they are defending something.”
