The WOR Morning Show asked News Nation Legal Contributor, anchor on the Law and Crime Network and Co-Host of Always in Fashion on WOR, Jesse Weber about his thoughts on the Daniel Penny verdict
Jesse said " I think the case was lost by the prosecutors. On Friday of last week, they asked the jury to forget about the manslaughter charge they had been pushing for the whole trial and to concentrate on the Criminally Negligent Homicide charge. In my opinion that made the jury think that the prosecution team really doesn't have faith in their case, or what they are saying. The jury went back and deliberated for a very short time and found Penny not guilty. The Neely Family will continue with the Civil trial they have against Penny.
