Pete Hegseth is the latest of Donald Trump’s cabinet nominations to come under fire from the media after he was announced as the President-elect’s pick for Secretary of Defense. Whether or not Hegseth is able to get enough votes to have his nomination confirmed is still unknown, but that has not stopped Trump from showing support. WOR and NewsMax host Rob Astorino spoke with the WOR Morning Show about Trump’s support of Hegseth and why he thinks it will continue.
“Just go back to Brett Kavanaugh; he will stick with you if he believes in it,” Astorino said to host Larry Mendte and co-host Laura Curran. “I think he has patience when it comes to somebody like a Pete Hegseth.”
Astorino believes Trump’s history of negative media coverage could be a reason for his patience: “Donald Trump is one who says the media is a bunch of jackals… he’s been through it.”
