The lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree is perennially one of the biggest days of the year in New York City, with people traveling from all over the world to see the spectacle. This year’s tree lighting will take place tonight just before 10PM following performances from Kelly Clarkson and the Backstreet Boys among others. WOR Reporter Natalie Migliore joined the WOR Morning Show to share what people are saying about this year’s tree, and how it compares to previous years.

“It’s amazing, I walk by it every day and I’m in awe, said one NYC citizen. “I think it looks better than last year, fuller,” said another tree visitor.

Not everyone who stopped by early is impressed with this year’s tree however: “I think it’s been prettier in the past; it doesn’t look healthy.”
