Border Patrol Agents Are Excited The Cavalry Is Coming On January 20th

Border Patrol agents are perhaps the Federal employees most delighted at the news that President Donald Trump won re-election earlier this month. Morale had plunged across their ranks in the four years Joe Biden called the shots, as nearly an estimated 11 million migrants entered the porous US Border illegally. Come January 20th, however, their marching orders will change. That’s welcome news to the ears of Border Patrol agents, according to Paul Perez. He is the president of the National Border Patrol Council. Perez appeared on the WOR Morning Show to express the sense of relief and anticipation many agents are feeling.

Perez told host Larry Mendte that, to his surprise, there are Border Patrol agents who want to change their mind about taking early retirement. “I know of many personally that have asked to come out of retirement, and many that have said they were going to retire if Kamala Harris had won, because they couldn’t afford to be working under another administration that wasn’t going to allow them to do the job they swore to uphold. And so, yeah, it’s a new day for the Border Patrol because of the amount of support that we know we’re going to get from President Trump and his administration. (And) Tom Homan speaks truth... He’s been doing this over 30 years. He knows exactly how to do it, so he’s not somebody they brought in that’s sitting behind a desk that’s just going to bark out orders.”

Perez says the support Trump has given the Border Patrol since his re-election is a complete 180 from what Joe Biden has shown them. “Immediately upon taking office, President Biden dismantled the policies and everything that Donald Trump had done to secure the border… And to this day, they still haven’t apologized for what they said, the false claims they made about the agents on the horseback that they claimed were whipping Haitian migrants. So, you know, that was another gut punch, and it was just one thing after another with this administration. We went from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows, and we’re still waiting for that apology.”
