Is Traditionally Blue New Jersey Turning Red?

Republican New Jersey gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli joined the WOR Morning Show to discuss the Garden State turning red over the last few elections.

Ciattarelli explained, when we nearly beat Murphy in 2021, I like to think that we lit the fire that started the Republican revolution. In 2020 Trump lost New Jersey by 16 points to Biden. This year President Trump lost to Kamala Harris by only 5 points. I believe the tide is turning in New Jersey because people are concerned about the impact of the whole border issue. Phil Murphy has made New Jersey a sanctuary state and tolerates sanctuary cities. That encourages illegal immigration. People are also concerned about the economy. Biden had a laze-fare attitude about the economy. And so does Gov. Murphy. Both told voters everything about the economy is fine. It may be for people in the stock market, but it's not great if you are a middle-class family trying to get ahead. We will continue talking with New Jerseyans about their concerns. I believe that will push us over the goal line in the next election.
